“Anyone can build a website — building it right is a different conversation.”
Before settling firmly into private practice in the 1990s, I spent more than a decade in corporate. How I got there is a story in and of itself. Suffice it to say, the variety of my experiences — from executive coaching and management reorganization in Fortune-listed companies to how not to, in hindsight, crash-and-burn an internet startup (it wasn’t mine)–was a priceless education in business, management, mismanagement and marketing.
When I started in this profession almost 30 years ago, it was just that — a profession. It was not a business, or at least it did not, in large measure, need to be treated that way. Over the years, that’s changed. Now, we, as professionals in private practice, are tasked not only with the practice of the practice, but the business of the business. Problem: unless you’re on your second career or have, like myself, had a checkered past, there’s a whole bunch of stuff you don’t know, nor were you likely taught, about the business of the business side of things.
That’s where Donna, me and our team come in. Just like the sign says — from tech to content development to marketing — we mind your business, so you can grow your practice.
